A successful artist has recently purchased this large warehouse and plans to turn it into a creative working studio, storage space and a residential space.

Immediately opposite the stairwell to the eastern side of the warehouse is situated the artist working studio. This takes advantage of the extra light from the eastern windows. Utilising the trusses above as a form of bay segmentation all zones of the building are separated by these.

The residential space which utilises the last 3 bays is separated by the use of a curved feature wall to the ceiling and heavy drapes. The trusses above the drapes are enclosed with glass infill panels.

A continuous wall unit forms into the kitchen bench and further on to form the BBQ outside. A large lounge, bathroom and laundry space utilise much of this space with a master bedroom and storage space within the mezzanine above. Access to here is via a spiral stair case.

Directly opposite the kitchen is the dining space which takes full advantage of natural light from the adjoining bi-folds leading to the new deck area. This deck area comprises the final bay which has had its roof removed. However the rafters have been retained to reference the roof above.
